Wilder - Interior Overview

Wilder Cafe At North Bridge Road

Wilder Cafe has taken over the space of De’Pop Culture Cafe and transformed into a cool, hipster look. From a colourful theme to an industrial theme. The two looks are a far cry.

Wilder - A view

You will see cemented wall with some plastering looks on it and chairs with metallic frame. As lots of wood material were used, it resulted in a softened industrial theme.

And now, it is a Halal Cafe, good news for all Muslim Cafe Hoppers. One additional choice added to the scene.

Wilder - Menu

When I was at Wilder, it was in its soft launch and was serving only its Brunch dishes. When I saw this uninteresting Brunch Menu of 4 items, and some desserts and beverages, I wanted to turn my back and walk away. But I thought I should give it a chance.

Wilder - Prawn and Corn Fritter, avocado, homemade tomato salsa topped with egg

I settled for Prawn and Corn Fritter, Avocado, Homemade Tomato Salsa Topped With Egg. Something which I don’t usually go for as I don’t really enjoy fritter because fritter consists of mainly starch. After my first mouth, I was astonished by this dish. The fritter was filled with sweetness from the corn and chopped onions. It was moist and soft with a crispy outer even though it was seated on a bed of Tomato Salsa. The salsa and avocado gave a refreshing feel to the dish.

Wilder - Cappuccino

The coffee served at Wilder is of medium acidity, medium body with a fruity flavour note. I don’t usually prefer the more acidity coffee but I could accept this as the fruity hint was pretty toned down. I believed they were using a blend with maybe some dark roast beans in it.

I am keen to try more of their food. I will return when they are fully launched.
