The Lab - Counter

The Lab At Jalan Pisang, Kampong Glam Area

The Lab took over the space of 7th Cylinder Coffee Company, from a biker’s heaven it is now transformed into the mad scientist’s lab.

Good news to our Muslim cafehopper, The Lab is a Halal certified cafe.

In The Lab, you can find lots of traces of lab apparatus and equipment.  Pretty cool and awesome. I have great fun taking photos of the cafe and its accessory.

It is a little pity that they did not bring the theme into their menu. The name of the dishes wasn’t that inventive. Anyway, The Lab has a lot to offer in terms of food, from Entree to Salad to Soup to Main to Dessert.

Before they begin the cafe operation, The Lab started serving burgers at several pop-ups, the last was at Artisty and it was highly raved.

But I decided to go with something other than the burger. I ordered the Gehaktball. Two huge beef balls were served which I least expected. When I cut it opened, I saw a cherry tomato hidden. Not sure why a cherry tomato was added. The meat balls were certainly tasty. I can see why the burger is so highly raved.

The Lab - Cappuccino

l tried their coffee too. It was decent, medium to low acidity and medium body.

NAHMJ Verdict

With such great food served at The Lab, I am certainly going to return for other stuff, especially the highly raved burgers.

Since it is known as  “The Lab”, all food are under experiment. Try if you dare. Lol.
