I went Tolido’s Espresso Nook for lunch on a weekday. They have one of the items that I rarely see it elsewhere and will only turn to Marche if I do crave for them.
The cafe is situated on the ground floor of a HDB flat at Crawford Lane. For those who know And All Things Delicious, it is on its left.
The cafe has a very narrow entrance. The seats are very closely placed next to each other. I could hear conversation of people seated next to me. Nevertheless, I still find it pretty comfy.
During 12.30pm to 2.30pm, there is weekday lunch set menu offered, a main and a drink. The dish that I was talking about earlier was Rosti With Smoked Bratwurst. I am sure most would have thought about it. I ordered that to try.
The Rosti was as good as those from Marche. The serving was a little too huge for me. Together with the Smoked Bratwurst which was a little salty with the natural potato tasting Rosti, it balanced the saltiness of the dish. I like it. I didn’t order coffee, but Ice Lemon Tea. It has a strong dose of lemon.
They noticed that I left about half the serving and they asked if everything was ok. I liked my lunch, enjoyed the dish and the warm friendly service.
