Coffee Culture - Cafe Interior View

Coffee Culture At The Nanos, Biopolis, A Hybrid

I finally found a cafe, Coffee Culture At The Nanos within Biopolis, selling both the espresso based coffee and the kopitiam kopi. I have been wondering why there isn’t such a cafe that offers the best of both world. Finally, I found one.

The design also seems pretty hybrid like what they offered on the menu. There is the more western cafe look at the counter and a local kopitiam look at dinning area, a bit like rojak though. The design didn’t really blend together. Anyway, that’s not the main point.

Coffee Culture offers both indoor and outdoor seats. There are more outdoor seats than indoor.

Coffee Culture - Drinks Menu

Not only the drinks are best of both world, the food served is also. There is the kopitiam kaya toast and there is the cafe styled ham and cheese toast among others. Coffee Culture serves sandwiches and pasta for lunch as well.

My breakfast at Coffee Culture was the Cappuccino and Ham & Cheese Toast. While I was writing my post, I suddenly have an idea. I should have ordered a kaya toast with the cappucino or a kopi-c with the Ham & Cheese Toast. LoL.

When I was served with a Cappuccino without Latte Art, a little disappointment set in. After tasting it. Oh my, it is pretty good, considering the quality versus the price of $3 for a so call small cup. It was not small after all. They have three sizes for the drinks; small, regular and large. The coffee has a medium body and acidity, with a slight toffee nutty note and very slight hint of spice.

Coffee Culture is definitely a place for cheap coffee, especially if you need to fix your caffeine craving with large quantity of coffee. It is a decent place to hang out and to spend a little time by yourself. And you don’t have to hope to cafe to kopitiam or vice versa for different type of coffee. You find both the Western and Local Delight in one single cafe.

  1. I used to work at Biopolis and have my lunch at Coffee Culture sometimes. The Mee Siam / Mee Rebus served there are delicious and affordable too! 🙂
