The Assembly Ground is at the ground floor of The Cathay, next to the School Of The Arts (SOTA), an area of teens-gather.
The space area of The Assembly Ground is considerably huge. The furniture are pretty simple, with some cushy row of seat by the side. It seems like the up and coming trend of decoration is using bicycles. I noticed several cafe have this.
The sugar container looked like the one in Maple & Market. There is a writeup on the sugar, seems like it is indicating that the sugar is of a healthy type.
At every cafe, I could always spot a cosy corner. The sofa seats … like a living room is that cosy corner.
The Assembly Ground Cafe is another cafe that serves extensive similar food range.
There are always breakfast items, pastries, cakes, sandwiches and pasta on the menu.
I ordered a Mac & Cheese and cappuccino for lunch. The Mac & Cheese is delicious. It is not the cheesy kind but has a good balance of creaminess, cheesy and saltiness.
While the coffee taste a little flat in flavour as personally I like coffee with more punch. It has a high acidity, medium aroma and medium to light body. The subtle sweet fruity berry taste is extremely light and gentle to the palate. Towards the end, there is a nutty flavour. Maybe I should try a double shot the next time.
Look at the latte art, it was presented upside down to a right-handed. The barista might be a left-handed.
I am keen to try their breakfast items at the next visit, especially the eggy benny type of breaky. I hope that The Assembly Ground could bring in more robust coffee for diner to opt as an alternative.

Hi there!
That’s an interesting post, I’ll definitely want to visit The Assembly Ground.
By the way, the shopping mall is spelt as The Cathay. ^^
Thanks Melissa for highlighting the spelling.
Cheers
