I know of Oriole Coffee Roasters at Jiak Chuan Road for the longest time but never found the chance to have a cup of coffee there. Today, as it was Monday, lots of cafe were closed and fortunately Oriole was opened, leaving a very good reason for me to be there.
The cafe is simple, spacious with high ceiling. It occupied the two levels shophouse but the cafe is only at the first floor.
It has two communal tables in the centre. There is a roasting machine at the end of the cafe.
There is hardly any deco or ornaments in the cafe, except a few black chalk boards for the crew to doodle, as a decoration for the cafe.
The beverage and food menu are pretty extensive, not only do they offer coffee but also other drinks.
For food, it ranges from breakfast food to sandwiches, pastries & cakes to small bites. Unfortunately, the kitchen closed at 5pm and after which no food were served, and not even cakes and pastries. I actually wanted to have the Salted Caramel Cheesecake and so was left disappointed.
I went ahead to order a cup of Cappuccino.
The coffee has a medium to light body, a good aroma, smell like caramel, tasted like sweet creamy chocolaty milk. Pretty above average.
Oriole Coffee Roaster is a good choice for coffee and catching up with a group of friends there.
