Jiyugaoka, A Neighbourhood in Tokyo, Japan

Jiyūgaoka (自由が丘) is a neighbourhood in Tokyo. I find this neighborhood very different from the rest of Tokyo, very cool. There are many unique boutique shops, cafe and bakery.

The shopping range is from budget to high-end. I always recommend friends to cover this neighbourhood. It is worthwhile to plan for half a day in your itinerary.

You won’t need a map to visit this area. Strolling aimlessly is a good way to explore Jiyugaoka.

Jiyugaoka is about 10 – 15 min away from Shibuya station taking the Tokyu Toyoko line. It is about 6 stations away.

You can never miss Marie Clarie Street. This street is around the train station. There is a Green Street that you probably will pass by as well.
